Wayfair supplier API (drop ship)

Wayfair and Sellercloud, connected

Selling on Wayfair as a drop ship supplier? Each new Wayfair purchase order becomes a Sellercloud order. Once it is there, it is accepted on Wayfair. When it ships, Wayfair gets the ship notice with every tracking number, and your stock goes back to Wayfair through the day.

What goes back and forth

From Wayfair into Sellercloud

Purchase orders
Every open purchase order from Wayfair's supplier API, created in Sellercloud with the PO number, items, prices and ship-to address.

From Sellercloud back to Wayfair

Acceptance
Each order is accepted on Wayfair once it exists in Sellercloud. A refused acceptance is retried, and the order is marked so it does not ship until accepted.
Shipping label (optional)
Register the order for pickup and Wayfair's label and packing slip are attached to the Sellercloud order as PDFs, ready to print.
Ship notice
When Sellercloud has tracking, Wayfair gets the ship notice with every parcel, using the carrier on Wayfair's own order.
Stock
Your available quantity per part number, through the day, after any stock you hold back.

What is taken care of

  • A label Wayfair returns for a different order is held back with an alert, so a parcel never goes to the wrong customer.
  • The carrier is never guessed. If Wayfair's order names none, the ship notice is held with an alert instead of being sent wrong.
  • Test against Wayfair's sandbox first; nothing reaches the live Wayfair account until you switch it on.

What to have ready

  • A Wayfair API application: client ID and secret from Partner Home (Developer, Application management)
  • Your Wayfair supplier ID
  • Whether Wayfair should issue the shipping labels (register for pickup) or the warehouse ships on its own
  • Your Sellercloud login, and the company and warehouse orders should go to

Going live, one safe step at a time

  1. 1

    Connect a partner

Pick the partner, add their SFTP or API details and your Sellercloud login. Each step lists what to have ready.

  2. 2

Test it on a real order

Every connection starts paused. A test run reads a real purchase order and shows it to you. Nothing is created and nothing is sent.

  3. 3

    Switch it on

Turn on creating orders in Sellercloud, then sending to the partner, then go live. From then on it runs by itself, on the schedule you set.

Questions about Wayfair

Does it work with Wayfair's API or EDI?

Wayfair's supplier API, the drop ship one. You create an API application in Partner Home and paste its client ID and secret.

Your choice per connection: Wayfair issues it when the order is registered for pickup, or your warehouse ships on its own labels.

Can I test it before anything is sent?

Yes. Every connection starts paused. A test run reads a real order and shows it to you; nothing is created in Sellercloud and nothing is sent until you switch each part on.

How much does it cost?

Monthly plans: Starter $199/month (up to 500 orders a month), Growth $399/month (up to 1,500 orders a month), Pro $699/month (up to 4,000 orders a month), Scale $999/month (up to 10,000 orders a month).
